Welcome to the Skyline Drive Environmental Assessment Project
Purpose of the Project
The purpose of this Environmental Assessment (EA) is to evaluate options to improve transportation and safety on 500 West, 4300 North, Pleasant View Drive, and other city streets used by quarry haul trucks within the city of Pleasant View, Utah.
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), in cooperation with Pleasant View City, are conducting this EA in accordance with:
Following established NEPA processes and guidelines, the study team will identify the Preferred Alternative that meets the needs of the proposed action while minimizing impacts to the human and natural environments.
FHWA and UDOT will consider the need for safe and efficient transportation; the social, economic, and environmental impacts of proposed improvements; and federal, state, and local environmental protection goals.
The project team completed the screening process to identify an action alternative. The team is evaluating potential impacts associated with the action alternative to the no-build alternative.
